Payment Page can place a PayPal Standard Checkout form on WordPress without requiring WooCommerce. PayPal is for one-time payments only; use a supported Stripe configuration when a form needs recurring billing.

How PayPal works in Payment Page

PayPal is configured as a separate gateway inside Payment Page. A visitor chooses PayPal on an eligible one-time form and completes the PayPal checkout flow. The available account, funding, country, and currency options are controlled by PayPal and the merchant’s account—not by a universal promise from the plugin.

The plugin does not offer PayPal subscriptions, Pay Later, Venmo, or PayPal alternative-payment-method controls as Payment Page features.

When a standalone WordPress payment form fits

A standalone form can suit a service, deposit, invoice, donation, or simple product when the site does not need a WooCommerce catalog and cart. Payment Page lets the site owner configure the form and place it with the plugin shortcode or its Elementor widget.

Payment Form Templates design the standalone form. Elementor Page Templates design the complete page around it.

How to add a one-time PayPal form

  1. Install and activate Payment Page.
  2. Open the Payment Page gateway settings and configure PayPal in test mode before live use.
  3. Create or import a payment form and select a one-time pricing plan.
  4. Enable PayPal only where the form, currency, country, and account configuration are eligible.
  5. Place the form with its shortcode or the native Elementor widget, then verify the complete flow in the appropriate PayPal test environment.

Never enter live customer credentials in a public demonstration. Keep live and test credentials separated, and follow PayPal’s current account and testing requirements.

PayPal limitations to state beside the form

Customers should be told which gateway they are choosing and whether the charge is one-time. Payment Page’s PayPal path is one-time only; Stripe handles the plugin’s recurring intervals.
